Necessary conditions for the TV GUIDE to operate correctly
The Sharp TV GUIDE works by copying information from the Teletext service for each of the four channels.
For the TV to perform this function properly:
1. Teletext must be available on all 4 channels.
2
The Teletext for these channels must include pages with hourly schedules of the day's broadcasts.
3. The channels must be set to Pr 1, Pr 2, Pr 3 and Pr 4 on the TV.
4. The TV's real time must be set properly.
5. The TV's configuration must be correct (channel names and teletext paths).
Note: The TV's configuration must be changed only if the channels change the teletext pages where hourly
programming schedules are located.
If the TV cannot copy the data properly from the Teletext, the words "NOT AVAILABLE" appear on menus A and B.
If this happens, display menu C to see the teletext page containing all programming.
To facilitate the teletext scanning process, the automatic data search is also performed periodically while the TV is
in Stand-By mode.
•  If the TV is turned off with main switch (
¨) the data will be lost.
•  If the TV is turned off with the (
¾ TV) button on the remote control, then if TV is switched on less than 30
seconds later data will be lost, other wise, data will not be lost.
•  If data is lost, the search will be repeat once the TV is turned back on.
