SYMPTOM
A number of problems can occur in either the horizontal or vertical stages:

Line output transistor failure (may be intermittent)
•
Line output transistor becomes excessively hot during operation
•
Failure of the vertical output stage (may be intermittent)
•
Vertical geometry problems
CAUSE
Various components fail in both the vertical and horizontal drive and output stages. It
is advisable to change a number of these parts.
