SUPPLEMENT
2-14. DIGITAL CAMERA SPECIFICATIONS
Basically, this program can be applied to the images of almost all brands of digital cameras.
The parameters of this system have been factory-adjusted for use with Sharp’s Digital Cameras VN-EZ5
and VL-MX1.
Check to see if your camera meets the following requirements.
When the color irregularities of a projected image direct to the naked eyes and those of its camera-
captured image look the same, this system works.
(But some parameters may have to be readjusted*.)
[Camera Requirements]
This system works when the following camera requirements are satisfied.
● Exposure must be adjustable (lens iris, shutter speed, etc.).
● Electric flash must be disabled.
● Captured images must be saved in JPEG 640 x 480 size (16-bit color or higher).
(If the image size is different, an image processing software may be employed to trim the image into the
above size.)
● Zoom function, if used, must be of optical type.
(Not always necessary, if the zoom function is not used.)
The correction results may vary depending on the camera in use.    In such case, readjust
the R, G and B gains from camera to camera.
For modifying the R, G and B gains, refer back to “2-13. TUNING IN CASE OF POOR
CORRECTION RESULTS”.
[Camera Settings (Reference)]
Look at a projected image and its camera-captured image.    If the color irregularities between them are too
big, readjust the following camera settings.
White balance
If bluish in the AUTO mode, set to the OUTDOOR mode.
Shutter speed
If too bight, increase the shutter speed.
Decrease the shutter speed when the lens iris is reduced.
Lens iris
Color irregularities more noticeable with a small opening.
Gain
Clear the gains if in the AUTO mode.
The above reference points should be adjusted as required.
