General
Vertical lines may appear (on the screen) due to repeated sending of commands via RS-
232C to the projector in standby mode.
Countermeasures
To avoid appearing of the vertical lines, each command should be sent more than 1 minute
after the previous command. However, the exchange of LCD panel may be required
depending on the situation of the vertical lines visible on the screen. To deal with such
case, we changed the IC2601 to allow the below commands in the standby mode and
made the supplement sheet for explaining how to obtain the projector status in standby
mode.
Command •
Content
“POWR????”
Projector power status
“TLPS 1”
Lamp status
As for the units produced after the serial numbers above, the following changes have been
implemented.
• Change of IC2601 (from RH-IX3502CEZZQ to RH-IXA500WJN1Q)
• Inserting of supplement sheet (TINS-A541WJZZ)
Servicing
If service is required from the customer with the above problem and the customer needs to
repeatedly obtain the projector status in the standby mode, change IC2601 (as shown in
the page 2) and then explain to the customer how to obtain the projector status in the
standby mode (as shown in the attached supplement sheet).
To reduce the vertical lines visible on the screen, turn on the projector and leave it until the
vertical line disappears (no need to input signal).
