2-15. TROUBLESHOOTING
If the system malfunctions, refer to the following chart.
Failure to install the program.
It runs on Windows98/Me OS only.
Is there enough space in the hard drive?
The install file “ccdcinst.exe” creates a
folder. Is this folder used later?
The install file “ccdcinst.exe” creates a folder in a specified
place.    The file “ccdc_setup.exe” is in this folder.
The program install starts with the file “ccdc_setup.exe”.
After the installation, the folder can be deleted.
Where is the “FlashUpgrader.exe” file?
In  the  standard  install  procedure,  this  file  comes  into  the
“c:¥Program Files¥ccdc_dc” folder.
When the FlashUpgrader gets started, the
message “I_DATA.HEX does not exist”
appears.
Click on [Start Correction] and the “I_DATA.HEX” file is
crated.    This message appears until this action is made.
[Start Correction] is clicked on, but the
FlashUpgrader fails to start.
The message “Can not create file” appears
and the correction is not completed.
Select [Setting] and [System Setting] on the main screen.
Specify a folder.
Refer to “2-6. INSTALLING AND SETTING UP THE
APPLICATION”.
Trying to display a pattern by the pattern
display dialog and clicking on [SET], but
failure to do so.
Check the communication cable connections.
Select [Setting] and [Model Setting] on the main screen, and
check the Port and Rate in the COM Setting area.
Pattern displayed by the pattern display
dialog, but cleared out soon.
Wait until the onscreen display (INPUT, Adjusting Image,
etc.) disappears and get the pattern displayed.    The pattern
is cleared when the onscreen display is activated.
The pattern is also cleared when AUTO POWR OFF is
displayed onscreen.
Color irregularity correction effect different
between RGB and VIDEO.
Before shooting images, it is necessary to change the input
mode for the projector model in question.
Refer to “2-7. STEP 1    TAKING PICTURES”.
Note that even in the specified input mode, the correction
effect is not exactly the same.
Image frames cannot be correctly
recognized.
Pictures taken may be too dark, too small or too large.
Refer to “2-7-1. TIPS ON TAKING PICTURES”.
Adjust the recognition frame by changing the Threshold
Value setting on the main screen.
Image shown on the entire screen:
Increase the setting.
Image too small compared with its projected one:
Decrease the setting.
If the image is too dark, make the projection size smaller (35
inches or so) for better results.
Pictures taken look bluish.
Readjust the camera’s white balance setting so that the
colors of the images look closest to the ones to the naked
eyes.
Note that the images bluish or reddish overall can also be
used for correction.
