2. Symptom: 
In the case that papers printed with ink or other materials are used, some kinds of 
ink constituents produce on rare occasions deterioration of the coating applied on 
the surface of the paper guide in the ADU paper exit unit, thereby causing rust on 
the deteriorated part. 
 
 
 
3. Description:  
At 
t
his time, we provide a service part, that is, a paper guide coated with bright 
nickel plate instead of electro-galvanizing. If you have such a problem that the 
paper guide in the ADU paper exit unit has rust on its surface in the case you use 
papers printed with ink or other materials, please use the rustproof paper guide. 
 
This symptom occurs on very rare occasions, therefore, we will not be changing to 
this version of the product in which the rust-proof paper guide has been mounted 
in this stage of production of the machines. 
 
 
 
 
 
Before change: Applied electro-galvanizing (colored with gold) 
 
 
After change: Applied bright nickel plate (colored with silver)
