2. Summary:
MX-M654N/M754N are shipped with the setting of the best optimum image as the
Factory Default, however if the image maximum density needs to be changed from the standard setting
value at the customer’s request, it can be changed by the following procedure: (e.g. if the image highest
density needs to be closer to the existing models <MX-M623N/M753N>, this setting change is available.)

Procedure:
(1)Enter Sin44-62 and press “PROCON TARGET”.
(2)Check the current density level in [ ] at the right side of PRCON TARGET
(SIM44-04) COLLECTIVE INPUT located at the second line from the top.
(3)Select the desired density level from below, and press “EXECUTE” and then press
“YES”.

ID DOWN (-2): Select this when you want to decrease the density level.
ID DOWN (-1): Select this when you want to slightly decrease the density level.
NORMAL (0): Standard state (Default setting)
ID UP (+1): Select this when you want to slightly increase the density level.
ID UP (+2): Select this when you want to increase the density level.
CUSTOM : Custom setting is possible but it is not used this time.
(4)Enter SIM44-6 and press “EXECUTE” to start the high density process control.
(5)When “COMPLETE” is displayed, press “EXIT” key to terminate SIM.
Note: When changing the setting, please be aware of the following points:
- If the setting to increase the density level more than the standard level is selected,
the toner consumption amount will increase in stages.
- If the setting to increase the density level more than the standard level is selected,
the waste toner container may be full at an early stage.
