2. Symptom:
Due to unevenness of the sensitivity of the photo sensor, in some rare cases, the punch
hole position is deviated inward from the home position or the punching does not
performed.
3. Description:
If above phenomena occur, please execute B Punch unit and punch PWB sensor
adjustment of the adjustment (8-3) in Service Manual.
(Excerpts from Service Manual is as below)
4) Transport pass system, paper edge detection system sensor adjustment procedures
a) Check to confirm that the punch unit power is turned OFF.
b) Check to confirm that there is no paper and interruption material in the sensor section.
c) Set the DIP switches 1, 2, and 3 to ON, then push and
hold the push switch and supply the power.
d) Set all the DIP switches to OFF according to the table above.
e) Push the push switch and execute the adjustment. (The LED flashes.)
f) Check to confirm that the LED flashes (fixed state), and turn OFF the punch unit power.
