When using paper that creates a large amount of paper dust, to increase the
amount of paper dust that a staple gear can handle, used in combination with the
stapler of the MX-FNX5 (finisher), after about 200k to 300k staples the staple gear
can deteriorate causing an "F1-10" error (stapler motor trouble).

MX-FNX5 - Instructions for Replacing the Staple Gear
* Remove the stapler unit from the finisher. For instructions on mounting, refer to the MX-FNX5
Service Manual.
(1) Remove 1 E ring and 2 screws, and then remove the coupling plate unit.

(2) Remove the gear plate from the drive shaft.
(3) Remove the stapler gear from the drive shaft.

(4) Apply grease (UKOG-0307FCZZ: furoyl G-313S) to the inner and outer wall around the entire
circumference of the cam groove of the new staple gear.
(5) Mount the staple gear while keeping the cam groove of the staple gear aligned to the arm
ring roller.

(6) Align the gear plate to the protrusion of the staple gear, and then mount the gear plate to
the staple gear.

(7) Apply grease (UKOG-0307FCZZ: furoyl G-313S) to the drive shaft hole on the coupling plate
unit.
(8) Mount the coupling plate with 2 screws and 1 E ring.(Screw x2, E ring x1)
