MX-FN28/FN29  OPTION  1 – 9
a. Stacking Mechanism (Gathering roller operation)
Papers stacked on Staple tray are lined up with the rear edge for
each paper.
Middle transport (left) paper surface sensor is OFF and after a
lapse of the certain time, Flapping motor is moving to make Gather-
ing roller [A] contact to the paper, which transports the paper to
Reverse rollers [B]. The transported paper is hit against Standard
fence by Reverse rollers [B], and then the rear edge of the paper is
lined up.
b. Standard Fence operation (MX-FN29)
Standard fence is mounted at the upper and lower sections. Which
Standard fence to be used differs depending on Binding mode of
Staple.
1)
<Standard fence upper>
Standard fence upper operates with Bundle transport upper
pressure release/Reference fence evacuation motor.
Binding mode: Edge binding mode (1-Staple)/ Edge binding
mode (2-Staple)/Saddle stitch mode (Small size: B5, A4, LT)
2)
<Standard fence lower>
When Stapler moves to the center, Standard fence lower is
pushed down by hitting against Stapler.
Binding mode: Saddle stitch mode (Large size: LG, B4, A3,
DLT, 12"×17.7")
c. Jogger operation
After the rear edge of the paper is lined up by the stacking opera-
tion, the jogger operation is carried out to line up the side of the
paper in the next phase.
Open/close operation of Jogger fences [B] is performed by Jogger
motor [A] being driven, and when receiving ON signal from the
main unit, Jogger fences [B] are in a standby state with both fences
being opened wider than the paper width. When the rear edge of
the transported paper is hit against Standard fence by Reverse roll-
ers, Jogger fences close, which lines up the side of the paper.
Once the jogger operation is completed, Jogger fences will open
again, and then will be on standby to accept the next paper.
Home position of Jogger fence is detected by Jogger home position
sensor [C].
