Moving Punch unit
Punch unit stands by at home position for Punch shift home posi-
tion sensor [B]. It moves from home position to center of the paper
and it stops. This operation is driven by Punch shift motor [A]
according to the information on position of the paper provided by
Horizontal registration detection sensor. Punch unit then starts
moving and goes back to home position.

Punching section
Punching section consists of dice section punching pin (punching
blade).
A punching pin is driven by Punch motor [A]. Punch unit moving HP
sensor [B] detects home position for punching section.
To control rotation of Punch motor, the revolution of encoder wheel
detected at Punch home position sensor [C] is fed back to the
Punch motor.
To make punch holes, Punch motor is rotated by 180 degrees from
the home position and reciprocates once.
Punch motor is placed on home position while Punch home posi-
tion sensor is turned ON.
To make hole punches on first sheet, the Punch motor is rotated by
180 degrees forward and the operation ends once the state of
Punch home position sensor changes from OFF to ON.
For second sheet, the Punch motor is rotated by 180 degrees back-
ward and the operation ends once the state of Punch home posi-
tion sensor changes from OFF to ON.
The switching between two-hole punch and three-hole punch is
controlled by the operation of Arm for two holes [D] and Arm for
three holes [E].

Collection of punch dust/Punch dust full detection
Punch dusts are collected at Hopper [A] available underneath the
Punch unit. Punch hopper full sensor [B] is mounted to Hopper unit.
It detects punch dust full once the dusts are accumulated to the
sensor position.
