1. Unpacking
A. Paper folding unit unpacking
NOTE: When moving the paper folding unit, use manpower of four
or more persons.
B. Fixing tape and protection material removal
1)
Remove the fixing tape.
2)
Remove the L-shape angle brackets for the folding unit.
Open the paper guide and remove the fixing angles as the pic-
ture below indicates.

NOTE: Remove the fixing bracket for pressure release (blue
circled section, two positions) with opening the paper

D. Cushion attachment
2. Installation
NOTE: Before installation, be sure to turn both the operation and
main power switches off and disconnect the power plug
from the power outlet. Make double sure that the data lamp
on the operation panel does not light up or blink when per-
forming installation.

Fix the connection plates F/R (Packed items No.5) and the
connection pin (Packed items No.6) to the decurler unit with
the screws (Packed items No.4).

Fix the paper guide B (bundled with the decurler unit No.12)
and the protection Mylar (bundled with the decurler unit No.14)

MEMO: Temporarily attach the protection sheet to the decurler
unit with the duplex tape (back of the protection sheet), then fix
it with the screw.

Fix the connection plates F/R (bundled with the inserter No.4,

B. Paper folding unit connection
1)
Connect the unit to the decurler unit.
Insert the pin in the decurler unit side into the hole in the unit.

Open the front upper cover, remove the screw and put down
the lock lever. Tighten the removed screw to fix the lock lever.

C. Height adjustment
MEMO: When the adjuster bolt is turned counterclockwise, the
height is decreased. When turned clockwise, the height is
increased.

Open the front upper cover, pull out the folder section, and
remove the wrench from the front cover of the folder section.

D. Tilt adjustment
MEMO: When the adjuster bolt is turned counterclockwise, the

E. Caster height adjustment
When the height of the paper folding unit is adjusted, execute the
caster roller height adjustment in the folder section according to the
following procedures.

Open the front upper cover, pull out the folder section, remove
the screws, and remove the front cover of the folder section.

Return the folder section to the inside of the machine. Loosen
the screws, and turn the adjuster bolt to adjust the height so
that the clearance between the caster roller and the floor is
about 1mm. After completion of the adjustment, tighten the
screw to fix.

F. Cables attachment
1)
Connect the communication cables from the folding unit to the
finisher. Fix it with the screw (Packed items No.7).
