respond differently from the SMB standard communication procedure, causing the

The MFP screen would go blank and the MFP would fail to recover from power save
mode if the MFP was in received fax preview mode and an attempt was made to
recover the MFP from power save mode—either by a fax being received or by the
user pressing the Power Save key—when 10 minutes or more had elapsed since
the MFP entered power save mode after receiving a fax and retaining received data.
