MODIFICATION TO PREVENT THE TOP LEVER SENSOR
FROM COMING OFF THE LOCK PLATE LEVER.

2.Description:

In rare cases, a recess is found at the center of a thermostat in the production process of
mounting a thermostat to the external heater holder.
This phenomenon is caused by downward force applied to the thermostat when each screw
is tightened, while the thermostat is partially held with plain washers. This seldom results in
a recess at the center of the thermostat.
Since the clearance between the thermostat and the external heater roller is inspected in
the production process, there is no particular problem. However, at the time of our services,
the plain washers are replaced with thermo spacers that have the same diameter as the
thermostat, in order to prevent a trouble (e.g. “H3-04”) caused by a narrow clearance
between the thermostat and the external heater roller which results from a recess at the
center of the thermostat. (The thickness of the thermo spacer is equal to that of the plain
washer.)
