1. Model Name:
  MX2600N - MX3100N

2. Symptom:

During black-and-white printing, the slip of the separator clutch in the main drive sometimes
may not allow the first transfer belt to return to the proper position, and thereby the space
created between the drum and the first transfer belt may not allow the toner on the drum to be
transferred onto the first transfer belt, which can result in white patches on a printed sheet or
no printing.

3. Description:

The friction torque of the separator clutch is to be changed from 2.5 kg to 5.0 kg or the
separator clutch might slip.
The face width of the separator reduction gear is to be changed from 5.5 mm to 4.0 mm,
because the size of the separator clutch increases as the torque increases.
This means replacement of the separator clutch involves the replacement of the separator
reduction gear at the same time.
Note: The modified separator clutch is larger than the previous one. Therefore, change the
bending angle of the metal so that the detent of the separate clutch can be inserted into
the detent opening of the drive main frame when the replacement is made.
