The problem was caused by the slight changes of the drum surface potential when copying
multiple pages.
Reduction of the density had no effect in practical use however modification has been
implemented to correct the developing bias, and stabilise the density depending on the drum's
running distance when copying multiple pages.

In cold climate areas, if the sudden environmental changes occurs inside the machines at chill
of morning or by the heating condition afterward, the concentration difference is generated
between the exposed area of the drum when the drum stops and is on standby and the sealed
area for 4 mm wide, and this might cause the uneven colour or uneven pitch. Modification has
been implemented to avoid to leave the drum stopping at the same position, and to reduce the
concentration difference by letting the drum idle for 2minutes after power ON the machine
when the temperature is low, and rotate the drum approximately 60 degrees (approx.0.2 sec)
every 3 minutes while the machine is getting ready afterward. Please support individually only
the users who are suffering from this trouble with turning ON the Soft Switch of the engine.
