When the AR-PE2 (printer controller) is incorrectly installed to the AR-C160, the I/F cable
can be installed in the wrong direction. As a result, problems might arise.
To prevent this from happening, the AR-PE2 will be shipped with the I/F cable attached to
the IF card.
When installing the AR-PE2 (produced before October 2001) to the AR-C160, please be
very careful that the I/F cable is attached in the correct direction.

1) When connecting the I/F cable to the I/F card and controller, be sure to confirm the
direction of the cable by checking the label attached to the I/F cable (flat cable). (See
the picture shown below.)

2) When fixing the two ground wires of the I/F cable, fix one wire with the mounting
screw on the I/F card side and fix the other with the mounting screw on the controller
side. (See the picture shown below.)

Connect the cable end with the "COPIER SIDE" label attached.
