If the user attempts to remove paper(s) jammed in the fixing section, the fixing unit may
sometimes be dropped.
Description
Stopper R is now attached to the HR supporting plate R (P/G [7]-18) in the fixing unit so
that the unit cannot be removed.

(How to attach/detach stopper R)
How to attach stopper R:
1. Insert the protruding part (A) of stopper R into the hole (B) in the HR supporting plate R.
2. Hook the hook (C) of stopper R to the D section of the HR supporting plate R.
How to detach stopper R:
When removing the fixing unit to service the machine, insert a slotted screwdriver or the like
between stopper R and the HR supporting plate R, and then tilt the screwdriver forward. This
enables stopper R to be detached.
Action
This modification will be made starting with production in January 2004.
