Non NDPS and Windows 95/98

Pre-requisites: 
Windows 95/98 PC with Novell Client-32 installed.  Microsoft Windows 95/98
CD.  Sharp AR350/450 print driver disks for Windows 95/98.  Administration
rights to the NDS tree where the printer is to be installed. Web browser
installed on a Windows 95/98 PC to configure the AR-NC5J for NDS.  AR-
M350/450 ARP350/450 AR-NC5J installed.
Note: 
When typing in data on the web page ensure the syntax is the same as in the
Netware administrator Utility.
Ensure the Netware Server has enough licences to allow the copier to
connect.
It may be necessary to use the Microsoft Windows 95/98 CD during
installation.
Items in italics indicate icons, buttons or menu options that are used during
installation.
Procedure: 
Configuration and Installation consists of three separate tasks:
• 
Configure the AR-NC5J for NetWare using the Web browser.
• 
Set-up of the NDS objects with NetWare Administrator.
• 
Installation of the printer driver in Windows 95/98 to enable printing to
the NDS print queue.

Configure the AR-NC5J for NetWare
1.1  Before we can install the AR-NC5J onto NetWare the AR-NC5J must be configured via the web
browser, enter the IP address into the address box.
1.2  Under the NetWare Configuration Menu, the following fields must be defined in order for the
NetWare server to recognise the AR-NC5J:

Set-up of the NDS objects with Netware Administrator.
Procedure:
Login to a NetWare Directory Services tree with Administration rights to the context where the
printer is to be installed.
Locate the executable file for NetWare Administrator (Z:\PUBLIC\WIN32: NWADMN32.EXE
for Windows 95/98 Clients).  Execute by double clicking the file in Windows Explorer.
This bulletin will show how to set-up the ARNC5J in the “printers.alpha” context of the “galaxy” NDS
tree.  The directory structure will vary depending on the network configuration.
2.1
Highlight the organisational unit in which you would like to place the printer, then press the
[Insert] key to create the new object.  Scroll to Printer object and click OK:
