Jumper Settings-3
A.2
Reset to Factory
The Print Server Card may be restored to factory default conditions by jumper (OP2).
The function of OP2 is to reconfigure NVRAM. This is done when a unit is moved
from one site to another and should be restored to as-new condition.

from one site to another and should be restored to as-new condition.
If the unit is powered up with a jumper in the FACT position on OP2, the board will
go into a reset all parameters to Factory Default state. This will be indicated by the
three quick green flashes followed by the alternating red and green indications (once
per second rate). This special indicator sequence means that the NVRAM parameters
have been reset to factory default values. Now turn off power and shift the OP2
jumper (labeled CUST or OP2). The unit will operate normally when you turn the
power on again.

BUS Handshake
The bus handshake signal may be altered to match with your printer controller. Nor-
mal handshake signal is WAIT- signal (OP3 set to pins 2 and 3). Check your printer
manual to determine if your controller requires the alternate handshake signal ACK/
RDY-(OP3 set to pins 1 and 2).

Ethernet-Specific Jumpers (10BaseT/10Base2 Only)
On a Print Server Card with both 10BaseT and 10Base2 capability there are two
jumpers that affect Ethernet operations: Automatic/Manual (JP4) and Manual Selec-
tion (JP3).

A.4.1 Automatic/Manual Jumper
The Automatic/Manual jumper causes the Print Server Card to select Ethernet net-
work type automatically when in the AUTO position. In the MA position, the selec-
tion is covered by the Manual Selection jumper.

A.4.2 Manual Select Jumper
The Manual Select jumper allows the user to force the Print Server Card to operate
from the indicated connector. Note that with the Manual-10BaseT connection, the
card will operate 10BaseT without the support of the LINK connect signal.
