1. Addition carried out of a spring to the pressure diffusion section of the staple
tray.

2. General:
The addition of a paper delivery pressure reinforcement spring has been carried out to the
pressure diffusion section of the staple tray as a measure to increase the paper delivery
discharge capacity. This action has been carried out as a measure to improve the paper
delivery discharge capacity for multiple sheets of copy paper stacked in the stapler unit.
3. Action:
Action carried out from January 2000 production.
2. Change carried out in the shape of the paper delivery lower paper guide.

2. General:
A change has been carried out in the shape of the paper delivery lower paper guide. This
action has been carried out as a measure to improve the strength of the bushing section
of the paper delivery roller of the paper delivery lower paper guide.
It is important to note that in accordance with the change described above, the added
paper delivery roller reinforcement plate AS which was described in Technical Bulletin No.
006 has been discontinued in production, but the service parts for the old parts still
remain.

3. Change carried out in the method of securing the staple tray harness.

There is a possibility of the harness in the stapler unit of model ARFN1N becoming caught
in those rare cases when the short tray mylar sheet of the short cut gate was pushed into
the cut-away section of the staple tray while JAM release action was carried out. As a
measure to alleviate this problem, a change has been carried out in the method of
securing the staple tray harness so that it does not get caught.

From January 2000 production.
4. Change carried out in the no. 3 paper delivery tray.

ARFN1N/FN3
2. General:
Previously only the paper delivery tray 3 of the AB series of model ARFN3 had holes
opened so that an extension wire tray could be attached, but now a change has been
carried out so that the paper delivery tray 3 of the inch series of model ARFN3, and of
model ARFN1N also have the holes. This action has been carried out as a measure to
establish uniformity.
