Action has been carried out from December 2000 production.
In cases whereby problems of streaking occur on models fitted with the previous paper
delivery rollers, please carry out the modification procedure below.
Procedures for Alleviating Problems of Streaking Caused by the Paper Delivery Rollers
(1) Remove the left exterior covers indicated by items "24" and "25" in the figure shown below. (All Sorter/Finisher
fixing plates should be removed before carrying out these steps.)
(2) Remove the Paper Deliver Unit (Item1 in the figure below) from the machine. (Caution should be exercised to
unplug the connector on the rear side of the machine.
(3) In machines bound for the European market destinations, replace the white rollers (Item9) with Black rollers
(Part No. NROLP1082FCZZ).
(4) Replace both Springs (Item 8) with the new "weaker" tension spring (Part No. MSPRC2755FCZ1 - Qty 2)
(5) Roller stoppers (Part No. LPLTM5940FCZZ) should be attached to the paper delivery guide (Item 12) in
alignment with the attachment standards described on the next page)
(6) Check to confirm that the rollers rotate smoothly and that they are firmly secure and do not become detached
(7) Reattach the Exterior Covers and the Paper Delivery Unit, which were removed. (Caution should be exercised
so that the connector Item 2 is not forgotten and is reconnected properly.)
