(2) Scanner (reading) section 
This section performs the following functions.
In this section, an original is radiated by the lights from the scanner
lamp and the reflected lights are read by the CCD elements of three
lines (R,G,B) and converted into image signals. The image signals
are sent to the image process section (ICU PWB).
(3) Image process section (ICU PWB)
The 8-bit digital image signal of R, G, B outputted from the scanner
(reading) section is processed and corrected to be outputted to the
scanner (writing) section.
(4) Scanner (writing) section 
There are four scanner (writing) units: yellow, magenta, cyan, and
black. Each scanner (writing) unit converts the dot image data of Y,
M, C, and K outputted from the ICU PWB into laser beams, and
scans to form latent electrostatic images on the OPC drum.
(5) Image forming section
In this section, the laser beam images formed by the scanner (writing)
unit are formed into visible images on the paper with toner. The
above operation is composed of charging, exposure, development,
transfer, separation, and discharging.
This section is largely divided into the following sections:
OPC drum section (Composed of four units of Y, M, C, and K.)
Toner hopper section 
Development section (Composed of four units of Y, M, C, and K.)
Transfer section 
Waste toner collection section
(6) Fusing, paper exit section
Toner attached to the paper in the transfer section is fused on the pa-
per with heat and pressure by the heat roller.
(7) The following units can be installed as an option.
Large capacity paper feed unit
Duplex unit
Paper feed tray unit
RADF unit
