Drum Replacement-  
•  Use drum units or drum kits. If using drum kits, inspect the cleaning system for wear or damage 

when replacing the drum blade and reception seal. Clean the discharge lamps.  
(AR-C25DU, AR-C25DK) 

 

Note : The black drum for the AR-C160 has been changed - the replacement interval is 80K and the 
rear flange of the drum is “keyed” differently than the colour drums. They are NOT interchangeable.  
(AR-C16DR). However, the cleaner blade, reception seal and main charger unit for Black will require 
replacing at 40k (AR-C16MK) 

 

Do not loosen the red screws on the DSD holders under any circumstances! The DSD holders are 
adjusted in the factory and cannot be adjusted in the field. If the alignment is altered, the gaps between 
the drum and developer unit will not be correct. 

 

Developer- 
•  Remove the four developer units. Inspect the DV seals, gears, and bushings for wear or damage, 

and replace if necessary. Remove the old DV material and install the new Developer. Re-install the 
developer units. (AR-C15LD9 [CMY], AR-C15LD1 [K] ) 

 

Note: The black developer for the ARC160 is different. The replacement interval is now 80K and should 
not be used in the ARC150 and ARC250 copiers. (AR-C16LD1) 

 

•  Before re-installing the process unit, remember to clean the slit glass on the four LSU units. Use 

cleaning cloth (UKOG-0289FCZZ) to avoid scratching the optics. 

 

•  Remove and replace the transport belt waste container. (AR-C15HB) 
 
•  For AR-C160, replace the Resist Roller Cleaner (AR-C16MK) 
 
•  Remove and clean the Image density sensor and the grey reference plate on the underside of the 

sensor shutter. Ensure the shutter and solenoid function properly before re-installing (F2 errors 
could result). Once cleaned, re-calibrate the sensor using the grey patch (UKOG-0281FCZZ). 

 

•  Remove and replace the Upper Heat Roller and cleaning roller (AR-C15UH, AR-C25UH,  

AR-C16UH). 

 

•  Remove and replace the Lower Heat Roller and separation pawls (AR-C15LH, AR-C25LH,  

AR-C16LH). 

 

•  Remove and replace the oil-applying unit. Add a small amount of oil to “prime” the applying roller 

before installation (Oil included in the oil applying roller kit.). Also, replace the main oil filter on the 
transport section. (AR-C15KH, AR-C25KH)
