The Axis 700 has all software built-in, so there is no need to expend time and
resources installing software on clients' PCs. It automatically detects the Sharp
AR-405 and communicates with the network to asign itself an available network
address (using DHCP). the AXIS 700's pre-set sending profiles, which can be
easily modified and extended, are included to relieve the installer and user from
setting up characteristics manually.

Since key operating software within the AXIS 700 was tailored specifically for
the Sharp AR-405, there are no complicated sending options to choose from.
The AXIS 700 is easy to use and features clearly labeled buttons, including a
"menu" button, select destination scroll button and a "send" button. Files sent
as e-mail attachments are automatically generated by the AXIS 700 and are
compatible with industry standards to support PDF and TIFF file types.
