Scanning Large Sized Originals
(Over A4/Letter size)
Model Name:
AR250/286/336/405/505 with AXIS 700/7000 Scan Server
Symptom:
I am having trouble scanning originals larger than A4/Letter.
Procedure:
(a) Select the "Landscape" paper orientation setting in the "Scan profile" field.

(b) Add an R-sized paper such as A3R and B4R in the "Paper size" field.
When customising the paper sizes, remember to set the values so that the
width and length values of the paper in the Portrait orientation are
exchanged.

In order to help you customise your page size settings, a pre-made
customised page size file has been designed by Axis and is attached with
this bulletin.

To upload the pagesize.ini file to the AXIS Scanner, follow the instructions
below.

(1) Open an MS-DOS prompt on your computer.
(2) Open an FTP connection to the Axis Scanner by typing the following and
then pressing enter.

(7) The file is now transferred to the Axis scanner and this is confirmed as can be seen in the
screen shot below.

(8) We can now open a connection to the Axis scanner via a web browser and confirm that the
customised page sizes have been uploaded. Here we can see the newly added “R” version
paper sizes.
