Corrected Problems

1) [Media Type] is selected for all cassettes, so the machine does not find an appropriate cassette if

the print job is sent from the Controller, and then the message is indicated on LCD.  This message
was changed as follows:
Before Change: [Please insert the cassette with correct size: <paper size>]

   

After Change: [Please place the paper to the manual feeder: <paper size>]

In the area <paper size> above, the actual paper size like [A4] is indicated.

2) After rebooted, the machine is automatically placed online.
3) The limits were placed on the characters used for the scanned file name.
4) The wording [Password Change] was changed to [Password Setting].
5) The wording [Reset] was changed to [Reboot].
6) If [Saddle] and [Cover Page (Inserter)] are selected, the paper in the inserter is reversed.
7) The range of time out setting for the parallel port was changed.
8) In the serial copying operation immediately after 05-code, the developer was not correctly fused.

This was corrected.

9) The problem of the web motor signal channel (CD5) was not correctly detected.

This was corrected.

Spec Change

 1) The maximum limit of a binding margin (right or left) was changed from 30mm to 40mm.
 2) The following settings were added for user setting: - Punching Mode Select function for the paper

with tab.
- Tab / Shift Width Setting (for cassette)
- Tab / Shift Width Setting (for manual feeder)

- Reverse Mode Select function for the paper in the inserter

- Original Orientation Select function in duplex mode (to reversed direction)
- Simple Menu Indication Select function
- Initial Menu Indication Select function (The user can select the simple menu as a basic screen

page.)

 3) The maximum numbers of account control code were changed from 150 to 500.
 4) The combination with the binding margin (right or left) and the saddle stitch is enabled.
 5) Some were changed and added for 05 and 08 codes. Regarding the details, please refer to [5.

 6) To reduce the wrong detection of recycle toner transport motor (CD2), the control system was

added.

 7) The control method was added to eliminate the paper jam when the inserter tray is opened.
 8) Some setting value when the engine NVRAM is all cleared was changed.
 9) The control method was changed so that the frequency of C44 error is reduced under low

temperature.

10) To prevent the creeping state of Pressure Roller, the control method was added so that every

three hundred times when IH is on/off, the fuser unit is rotated for 10 seconds.

11) To prevent the guide jam from occurring when the paper for Tandem LCF is transferred, the

check control system was added.

12)*The input check control system was added for the middle transfer sensor.
13) The control system was changed so that the leading edge of the image is not shifted when the

scale is changed.

14) *To achieve the higher image quality, dithering is added for the photo mode.
15) *To prevent the original glass from being contaminated, the control method was added so that the

scanned position of the original can be changed when the original is transferred.

16) The recovery process was added when the error is experienced during beam initialization.

[Note] These have been included from the version combination above-mentioned or later.

Additions and Changes in [Service Handbook] (Changes related to this upgrade)

1. Codes 309 and 370 were added.
2. The default for the codes 365 and 366 was changed from [50] to [60].
