AR5132 (for machines bound for the U.K., Germany, Europe, and Australia markets).
2.General:
The addition of a mesh harness has been carried out to the rear side of the ADU unit.
This change has been carried out as a measure to alleviate problems of electrical noise.
3.Action:
From the 1st lot of 1997 February production.
2. Measure carried out to stabilise the return of the PPD1 actuator and
measure carried out to alleviate problems of abnormal noise which had
been occurring during paper feeding operations.

There had been problems of abnormal noise in the transport DV guide section
which occurred during copy paper feeding operations. As a measure to alleviate these
problems, the diameter of the transport roller was changed from ø18 to ø18.5. This
change was carried out as a measure to decrease the abnormal noise.
<2>
A change has been carried out in the load of the spring of the PPD1 actuator.
The load has been changed from 10g to 11g. This change has been carried out as a
measure to stabilise the return of the PPD1 actuator.

There was a possibility of jams occurring in the U-turn paper guide of the transport unit
when copies were delivered from the ADU during double-side copy mode operations. As a
measure to alleviate this problem, the measure described below has been carried out.
3.Description:
A change in the thickness of the abnormal noise prevention sheet which is attached to the
U-turn paper guide has been carried out. The thickness of the abnormal noise prevention
sheet has been changed from t= 0.25 to t=0.125.
4.Action:
From 1997 mid-May production.
