Accessing the Bulletin Board
To access the BBS (Bulletin Board System) you require a Personal Computer, a modem (a 14.4 Kilobaud
modem or greater is recommended), and a software program. Windows 3.1/3.11 includes a program that can
be used called terminal or alternatively you can use the Hyperterminal program under Windows 95.

Setting up a terminal program to access the Sharp BBS
The following example uses Hyperterminal program which is provided free of charge with Windows 95, a
similar procedure applies to the Windows 3.1 terminal program. The procedure assumes that the PC has a
modem already installed.

Start up Windows 95,
Click the [Start] button, select [Programs], [Accessories], [Hyper terminal]
Double Click on the [Hypertrm] icon, the HyperTerminal program will start in its own window.
Enter a name for the connection such as “Sharp BBS” and click on [OK]
