REPORT OF FLASH MEMORY VERSION METHOD
Due to errors and omissions, the following technical reports have been supplemented or
amended. (Amendment: underline, supplement: (*))
1) ARE184.
2) ARE234.
(For previous cougar models.)
Note: The procedure for version upgrades has not been amended.
1.Model Name:
AR250/280/285/335/286/336/287/337/405/407/505/507
2.General:
The ICU PWB of the models listed above includes a ROM writing function, which enables
us to carry out version upgrades of the flash memory.
In accordance with a change in the flash memory of the PCU (the previous flash memory
was 1MB, the new flash memory is 2M) that was carried out for the new series (models
AR287/337/407/507), a version upgrade has been carried out in the FD File Generation
tool.
[Ver. 5 (MOT2fd5(EX).EXE) has been changed to Ver. 5.10 (MOT2fd5.1(EX).EXE).]
It is important to note that the software version upgrade described above has been carried
out only for the FD File Generation tool. There has been no change carried out in the flash
memory version upgrade software (ROM-write software: FLASH5).
3.Description:
(1) Software version upgrade content.
The content of the software version upgrade described above consists only of the addition
of the selection "PCU 2M" to the setting, "Kind (T)". (Refer to the figure shown below)
There has been no change carried out in the method of using the software itself.

content of the table shown below.
