4. Information
This problem occurs when developer adheres to the DV Blade.  When developer on the
blade is caught by the rotating MG roller and enters the DV unit, the DV blade is bent; its tip
contacts with the developer layer on the MG roller, and the blade with developer is caught
by the roller (see figure below). In most cases, this is caused by contamination during
adding of developer to the DV unit, or by rotating the MG roller in the wrong direction.
However, this trouble may also occur by adhesion of developer to the DV blade when lifting
the carrier during normal copying.
