Supply of a service part for countermeasure against 
break of the boss for mounting the 2nd joint gear 
1. Model Name AR-M236/M276 
AR-235/275/N275 
2. Symptom 
Depending on the grease or oil applied to the gear and periphery of the gear, the boss 
on the base plate mounting the 2nd joint gear on the rear side of the paper feeding 
section may break. 
3. Countermeasure  If the boss on the base plate mounting the 2nd joint gear on the rear side of the paper 
feeding section broke, it was necessary to replace the base plate. To improve 
serviceability, the drive support plate AS serving to substitute for boss has been newly 
supplied as a service part. 
When the boss on the base plate breaks, use the drive support plate AS for repair. 
For the mounting procedure of the drive support plate AS, refer to the attached sheets. 
When performing the above replacement, the screws fixing the 1st lift up unit must 
also be exchanged. (Refer to the attached mounting procedure.)

 Mounting procedure of the drive support plate AS    
1. Remove the 1st lift up unit, paper feed clutch and 2nd joint gear. 
 
2. Cut the remainder of the boss using nippers, etc. 
 
 
  Cut condition 
 
3. Mount the drive support plate AS.

4. After mounting the two 2nd joint gears, attach the paper feed clutch. 
 
 
5. Mount the 1st lift up unit. 
    (1) Change of two screws (longer by 5 mm than the former), parts code after change:  
          XEBS740P35000 
    (2) Change of one screw (longer by 2 mm than the former), parts code after change:
