1. Model Name
AR-235 / 275
2. Description
Adjustment of SPF read position:
1.  Confirm that the MCU firmware fitted to the machine is version 1.60.
2.  Place a black test chart on the OC glass, with the SPF open. Cover the slit glass with a
sky shot or similar black sheet. Do not put anything other than the black sheet on the
glass, and make sure that external light does not enter optical unit during the
procedure.
3. Execute
simulation
53-08. This makes the optical unit recognise the boundary between
the OC glass and the slit glass cover, and the SPF read position is automatically
stored.
4. Execute
simulation
50-6, items 1 and 2, to adjust the SPF/RSPF ‘READ START
position.
5. Execute
simulation
50-6, item 3, to adjust the SPF/RSPF ‘REAR EDGE’ void
adjustment. This value should be changed from ‘50’ to ‘36’.
6. Execute
simulation
46-20, items 1 and 2, to adjust SPF/RSPF ‘EXPOSURE’ settings.
Each value should be adjusted from ‘50’ to ‘53’.
MCU firmware version 1.60 has been added to production from June ’02.
