PRINCIPLE OF TOUCH PANEL
The IR LED illuminates, and it is received by the
photo diode at the counter side.
The infrared rays are blocked by a pen or object, so
that the coordinates can be detected.
1 ) By a command from CPU, one LED is illuminated.
2 ) The voltage received by the sensor (photo
diode) is amplified by the amp.
3 ) The voltage of the sensors (photo diode): the
counterpart one of the illuminated LED and
its both adjacent ones is output.
8 LED's data are grouped into 1 selector, and
the data of 8 selectors are combined into one
at the buffer.
4 ) The voltage combined in the step 3) is amplified
and output to LED-XA PWB.
5 ) The voltage is amplified at LED-XA PWB, and
the selector outputs horizontal sensor voltage
and vertical sensor voltage to CPU.
6 ) By processing the data obtained in the step 5) ,
the coordinates can be detected.
