This troubleshooting guide is written on the assumption that the signal input is UXGA @60 Hz, 64
gradation color input. If a different signal or display is inputted, the timing or waveform may be different.
 <Error occurs when synchronizing signal is detected>
DC+12 V is outputted from AC adapter?
Check AC adapter.
Test terminal LD59 is DC+12 V?
Check DC+12 V power supply line and power
supply circuit around fuses (DC jack PWB).
Test terminal LD64 is DC+3.3 V?
Check DC+3.3 V power supply line (DC33)
and power supply circuit around IC14.
Test terminal LD65 is DC+5.0 V?
Check DC+5.0 V power supply line (DVCC,
AVCC) and power supply circuit around IC15.
Test terminal LD66 is DC+2.5 V?
Check DC+2.5 V power supply line (DV25)
and power supply circuit around IC16.
IC26 2nd pin output is DC+3.3 V?
Check DC+5.0 V power supply line (AVCC)
and power supply circuit around IS26.
The voltage at both ends of fuse F1 is
DC+12.0 V?
Check LCDPW signal, Q5 and areas
around it.
Test terminal LD58 changes in its level
when power switch is turned on and off?
Check MAINPW signal, CN4 and areas
around it.
IC9 8th pin (not mounted) signal is in
L level (DC+0V)?
Check RESET circuit around IC21.
Test terminal LD46 signal input is normal?
Check clock circuit around IC11, IC25 X2.
Test terminal LD45 signal input is normal?
Check clock circuit around IC10, X1.
Test terminals LD2, LD3, LD9, LD10
signal inputs are normal?
Check RGB cable and CN1, CN2.

CHAPTER 3. TROUBLE SHOOTING
Check whether the following cables are connected correctly.
In addition, check whether the PCs video mode is properly set to the signal timing which meets this machine.

Check LCDPW signal and areas

Test terminal LD49 signal output is
normal?
Check areas around Q4.
Test terminal LD52 signal output is
normal?
Check areas around Q3.
Check SW PWB (LED and cable).

DC jack PWB CN3, CN4 1st and 2nd
pins are DC +12V?
Check DC+12 power supply line and
fuse F2.
Test terminal LD63 is in H level
(DC+5 V)?
Check main PWB around Q8 and CN9
and DC jack PWB.
Test terminals LD61 and LD62 are less
than 1.0 V when brightness is maximum
(OSD display BRIGHT 31)?
Check areas around IC12 and
DC jack PWB.
Check inverter PWB unit.
Check LCD module lamp.
Inverter PWB unit CN2 1st and 2nd pins
are at about 800 Vrms?
(Use caution not to get electric shock
accident. Use a high-voltage probe
(more than 100:1) for measuring voltage.)

Test terminal LD65 is DC+5 V?
Check DC+5V power supply lines (DVCC,
AVCC) and power supply circuit around IC15.
Test terminal LD64 is DC+3.3 V?
Check DC+3.3 V power supply line (DV33)
and power supply circuit around IC14.
The entire LCD screen is blank (white)?
Lock LD27 and DE LD28 signal outputs
are normal?
Check circuit around X1, X2, IC10, IC11.
Check IC13, IC22, and LCD connector,
LCD module.
The entire LCD screen is black?
Test terminal LD63 signal is in H level
(DC+5V)?
Check main PWB around Q8 and CN9
and DC jack PWB.
Check circuit around X1, X2, IC10, IC11.
LCD screen size is abnormal?
ADJUSTMENT and MODE SELECT
are set correctly?
Adjust according to the screen
adjustment procedure.
Test terminal LD18 output signal is
normal?
Check PLL circuit around IC4.
Check circuits around IC1.
LCD screen jitters or flickers?
ADJUSTMENT and MODE SELECT

Input is switched over properly?

There is no problem with LCD screen.
