Adding A New machine to an existing VentaPro system.
PERFORM THE FOLLOWING ON THE EXISTING MASTER MACHINE
1.
Start VPM and ensure that it is connected to the database on the

Within VPM – System Configuration – Ensure that the correct
number of machines are set correctly.

Within VPM – Till Configuration – Ensure that the Till Parameters of
the new machine to be added have been created.

4.
Ensure that the master machine's Netmap.txt contains the settings
for all the tills on the system.

5.
Restart the VentaPro software on the master Machine.
PERFORM THE FOLLOWING ON THE NEW MACHINE
1.
Connect the new machine to the network ensuring that the IP-
Address is within the same range as the existing machines on the
network.

2.
Configure the C:\Vapp\Netmap.txt with the new IP-Address.
3.
Install the VentaPro software and any upgrades onto the new
machine that is to be added to the system.

4.
ENSURE that the software version is the same as the existing
Master machine.

5.
Once the software is installed on the new machine restart the
machine and then select the VentaPos icon.

6.
Answer yes to “load with the Demo Data”.
7.
When the VentaPro software has started Select ‘Update Local
Database’ from the Manager – Utilities menu.

8.
Once the ‘Database Update’ is complete restart VentaPro.
NOTE! IF YOU ARE USING PRESET SERVERS, YOU WILL HAVE TO
REASSIGN PRESET SERVERS ON ANY NEW SLAVE MACHINES
ADDED. THIS CAN BE DONE VIA THE MANAGER SCREEN (Venta
Main Menu) – ASSIGN PRESET SERVER OPTION.
