X300 KVM Interface

The following information will detail how to configure the X300 and Logwood
Kitchen Video Monitor.

The X300 cannot share files directly with the KVM system.  Therefore a PC on the
same network will be required.  On that PC you must create a shared folder that can
be accessed by the X300 and the KVM system.  This folder must be set to allow
users to read and write to the folder without a password.

The Screenshot below shows the configuration on the X300.  The KVM programming
should be set as below.  The Shared folder will be  

\\computername\sharedfolder

The IP Address and Physical Device also needs to be set.  The IP address is of the

KVM Configuration

The following is a copy of the Autoexec.bat found on the C:\ drive of the KVM
system.  The PCNAME is the computer name of where the shared folder exists and
the DNAME will be the actual shared folder name.  These must be set before
running the KVM.  The rest of the autoexec.bat file should like the following:

Filelink.def will need to be configured. The only line to change will be the tickets
source.  The e:\ comes from the NET USE command at the bottom of the
autoexec.bat.

The protocol.ini (located in c:\NET) is where the KVM’s IP address and subnet is set.
Here is a copy of what it should look like baring in mind you will have to set the IP
address within the same range as the till and the PC holding the Share folders.

X300 Product Programming

In order to send a Product to the KVM you will need to set it to print to KP1.  This
can be done on individual PLU’s or it can be set by Group or Departments.

If the Product is also required to print on an actual Kitchen Printer, then a KP must
be configured in Device Configuration for KP1 as well.

 If no printer is required then the KP1 entry in Device configuration should be left
blank.
