A new Master Reset procedure is available in order to set the ECR into the correct country mode 
during the setup phase. 

 
It is possible to setup the ECR easy and user friendly according to the country specific fiscal 
legislations. To keep this, it is prohibited to change the fiscal related setting after the ECR has been 
setup. Once fiscal setting has been done, it can be reset by Master Reset only. The fiscal related 
parameters can also not be changed afterwards anymore by using the online function or loading of 
Programming Data from SD Card. 
By carrying out a MRS Job, certain parameters as well as some text translation will be set 
automatically. Furthermore, all sales data are reset as follows: 
- Sales data including GT 
- Counters (Z Counter, Consecutive Number, Transaction Counter) 
- Some programming restrictions will be set accordingly. 
Without carrying out the country related fiscal job, the ECR keeps the original specification. 
In order to identify the country selected during the Master Reset procedure it will be displayed in 
the Status Bar.
