Firmware Upgrade 
 
 
The firmware on the UP-3500 can be upgraded by using a SD Card.  The Rom image can be 
downloaded from the Technical website and then copied onto the SD Card.   
 
1)
  First create a folder called Sharp on the SD card. 
2)
  Within the folder Sharp, create a folder called ECRXXX05 
3)
  Within the folder ECRXXX05, create a unique folder (make your own folder name) 
4)
  Within the unique Folder create a folder called Update 
5)
  Copy the downloaded Rom Image file to the Update folder on the SD card and then insert 
the SD Card into the SD card slot on the left side of the UP-3500. 
 
6)

A confirmation prompt will display to confirm you wish the update the firmware.

Accessing SD card will be shown while the firmware is updating.  Once finished, the screen will 
return to SRV mode. 
 
After successful update, please perform the Program Reset procedure. 
 
 
Download firmware to Satellite machines from Master Terminal 
 
 
 
Firmware Upgrades can also be downloaded from the Master Terminal to ALL connected/IRC UP-
3500 machines. 
 
To upgrade the firmware on the Satellite machines please see the below procedure. 
 
1)
  Ensure there are no open transactions on any machine and they are all powered on. 
2)
  Enter Service mode on the Master Terminal 
3)
  Enter into Down Load 
4)
  Press Rom Version Update 
5)
  Select Machine or Select ALL to download firmware. 
6)
  The firmware will now be downloading to each terminal in sequence.  The current updated 
terminal number will be displayed on the Masters screen. 
 
Once complete the master screen will return to the SRV screen. 
 
Each satellite machine will require a program reset for the new firmware to take effect.  Perform the
