Ensure that the Beep sound in the PenMount control panel is also not
enabled.
If you are running a POS terminal with POS Ready 7 you will need to change
the version of c:\windows\system32\drivers\beep.sys.
In short the POS Ready 7 beep.sys dated (13/07/2009) needs to be replaced
by the POS Ready 2009 beep.sys dated (17/08/2001). Both files are available
from the Dropbox links below.
Due to the beep.sys being used by the OS it is difficult to replace. The
following information and links below will enable you to resolve this.
The SysfileManager.zip file should be extracted to a folder on the POS Ready
7 terminal then drag the POS Ready 2009 beep.sys into the Sysfilemanager
screen. Once successfully completed a reboot will be required.
