Introduction
This configuration guide is aimed to help you configure the options within Retail PLUS to suit
yourself, your staff, and your business.
The Configuration Tool has a graphical user interface with the various system options being
grouped together for ease of use.  This makes it easier for you to use and understand how you can
change many features within the Back Office and PoS.
The tool must be run on all the machines in your store.  What machine you are using the tool on
will determine the options that are available.  For example, it makes no sense for you to configure
retail devices (e.g. weighing scales) on a dedicated Back Office machine, hence the Device
Configuration screen will only be available when you run the tool on a till machine.
The Configuration Tool must be logged onto in the same way as the Back Office or PoS.  Please
note, however, that only an owner or manager (not an ordinary member of staff) can use this tool.
If you attempt to sign on to the Configuration Tool with a username that is not an owner or
manager an error message will appear telling you that only owners and managers can use the tool.
The program uses a framework system, allowing easy switching between configuration screens.
It supplies common buttons for adding, deleting, and changing options such as categories,
payouts, etc.
The main configuration screen is shown below:
