8.0  Warranty Registration
It is a condition of any warranty or technical support that the Dealer has informed Sharp
Technical Department of the model and serial numbers on a Company letterhead no later
than seven days from the date of purchase.
If this information is not returned to Sharp any Warranty Claim could be void in respect
to the machine in question.
The above information can be faxed to the Technical Department on 0161-204 2243.
9.0  Warranty Repairs
9.1
Warranty within 14 days of purchase from Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd by the
Dealer: -
Should a Cash Register be faulty on arrival within 14 days of purchase from Sharp, the
Dealer should immediately inform the ECR / EPOS Technical Department. An RA Note
(Return Authorisation) will then be raised by the Technical Department.
Sharp will then arrange for the collection of the faulty unit from the Dealer. The product
must be returned complete with all consumables and accessories and in its original
Packaging.
All units returned on a faulty on arrival basis will be repaired and returned to the Dealer.
9.2
Warranty within 12 months of purchase from Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd by the
Dealer: -
Should the Cash Register be found to be defective within 12 months of purchase, the
faulty unit can be returned to Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd approved contractor, directly
by the Dealer?
The Dealer will then be invoiced for the labour content of the repair; all parts used being
covered under the warranty.
9.3
Repair of units within 12 months of purchase from Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd by
the dealer: -
Should the Dealer decide to undertake the repair of the faulty unit himself, the cost of the
faulty components used may be claimed back from Sharp under the Warranty Parts
Claim system (see attached supplement outlining claim system).
