OVERVIEW
For obvious reasons, you cannot assign a key to every product you want to sell at the terminal,
so “lists” provide a method of grouping the products for display on the terminal. The server
can press a list key to display the products and then select the item required. Sometimes
another list will be displayed straight after a selection from a list has been made by the server.
Linking the lists is a way of making sure that the server selects all the elements which make up
the order for the kitchen, for example, ice cream and toppings. You can also set up lists for
items which require special attention, for example, “Qualifier Lists” (cooking instructions) or
“Extras” (optional side orders).

on. If the condiment list (90-99) includes items for later selection, these items must be type
“dummy” items on the product file and must have a list menu number set to the list of available
items for selection. Selection by the server of a type “dummy” item will not be allowed unless
the item is already in the transaction, ensuring that a “free” dessert is not selected unless the
main condiment has already been selected. For this reason, the dummy item itself must be
included in the “chain” of linked menus started by the main condiment item.

You can add or change a list on the system. For new lists, you must enter the list parameters
and then specify the products you want to place on the list. Existing lists may be reviewed and
changed when necessary. Having entered the list details, you should then allocate the list to a
key position on the terminal using the Keyboard File function. Each list is identified in the
keyboard file by the letter L followed by the list number, for example, L01 would be list number

There are two ways in which you can disable a list; either replace the details with a new list, or
remove the list from the keyboard file.

SPECIFYING THE LIST NUMBER
Enter List No: Enter the number of the list you want to maintain, 01-99. Existing list numbers
will display the current details for you to review. For new list numbers, you can add the list
information to the file.
