1. General
This diagnostics program is used for simplified check of the ER-
A850/A880 operations in the board test, the process test and servic-
ing. It is composed of three programs as shown below.
The board test diagnostics is supplied as the test ROM. The process
test diagnostics is built in the system ROM. The service-man diagnos-
tics is supplied in a floppy disk as an execution object. The programs
are loaded from the PC to the ER-A850/A880 by using the application
program loader (hereinafter referred to as "APLD") program. All diag-
nostics programs are executed by supplying a command with the AT
key after initiating the MS-DOS.

2. System Configuration
2-1. Service Test System
Connect the ER-A850/A880 body and the PC with an RS-232C cross
cable. Connect the ER-A850/A880 with the AT key board. For con-
nection between the ER-A850/A880 and the PC, refer to the Opera-
tion Manual of the ER-A850/A880 application program loader.

3. Service-man Diagnostics
3-1. Loading Diagnostics
Set the ER-A850/A880 DIP switch as shown in Fig. 3-1, and supply
power to the ER-A850/A880. Use APLD to load the service-man diag-
nostics after saving data in the RAM disk. For loading and saving
data, refer to the operation manual of the ER-A850/A880 application
program loader.

3-2. Execution of Diagnostics
Set the ER-A850/A880 DIP switch as shown in Fig. 3-2, and supply
power to the ER-A850/A880.

After initiating the MS-DOS, execute "SRV.EXE" by entering as fol-
lows with the AT key:
