Hints / Tips and limitations for Orderman operation

Clerk-assignment

For operation with Mobile Order Terminal the UP-8x0 system has to be setup for
Overlapped-clerk-registrations.

Please refer to the information given in the section about SRV-programming.

At the Mobile Order Terminal the clerk is selected in “

SETUP… - Configuration

”. This

setting remains valid until the Setup procedure at the Mobile Order Terminal is changed.

Upon selection of “

START APPLICATION

” a set password is requested to be entered.

CAUTION: The users have to take care, that Mobile Order Terminal users are not signed-
on at any ECR!

At opening of a table it is checked if the Mobile Order Terminal user is signed on at any
ECR and a warning “IS SIGNED ON“ is given.

Since the registration-information will be sent to the ECR not before finishing the current
registration-operation, the system cannot check if the same clerk is signed on at the ECR-
system during time of registration.

In that case the message “IS SIGNED ON” appears at the Mobile Order Terminal, but
since this state is not permitted, the registration is lost!!!

Although it is possible to operate the system with more than one Mobile Order Terminal
assigned to the same clerk, it is not recommended to do such operations.

Multiple-article-entries

For multiple-article-entries a maximum entry of 99 is possible. If more articles are needed
entries of the article have to be split to 99 pcs followed by the next entry of that article
until the desired quantity is reached.

This procedure has to be followed due to given standards of the Mobile Order Terminal
software.

At re-access of table data the quantities are recapitulated to the total quantity.

Multiple void operations are functioning similarly.
