The lock body that can be fitted to work with the machines listed above can be obtained
by ordering the option kit UPR01CK from Sharp (UK) Sales.
The UPR01CK kit contains all the necessary items (other than the keys) for the lock to
be fitted and operate on the above machines.
(Lock Body, Cable (between body and PWB) and Fitting accessories.)
(Available November 2003)
Fitting Instructions
The lock is fitted to the machines in a similar way as the current clerk locks are fitted.
Simply remove the existing body and replace it with the new type.
There is piece of cable that fits between the new Contact less Clerk body to the PWB.
The position of the PWB connector that the above cable fits onto varies from machine to
machine, however there is only 1 connector of this size (12 pin Brown/Orange
connector) on the machine.
Programming the Keys ready for operation.
(ER-A770/UP-600/700/3300/5300/5350/5700 & UP-5900)
To program the keys to be read by the Clerk body on the above machines please follow
instructions below.
1.  When the Clerk body is first fitted it does not contain any programmed data.
2.  If there is Key data in the body (previously used) the data in the body can be reset
by changing the position of SW1. (please refer to Initializing the Clerk lock)
3.  To program the key number simply press the key into position.
4.  The first key pressed against the Clerk body will be registered as key number 1, the
next key as key number 2 and so on.
5.  Any new key fitted will be automatically programmed as the next highest number
not yet programmed.
