4) DIP switch setting of the ER-01FD/02FD

Note: When performing IR communication with the ER-A460/

A470, the baud rate should be set to 19200 bps only. 
The PC-DOS format cannot be used for the ER-01FD.

5) CE-IR2/IR4 setting

CE-IR2
The CE-IR2 is used in the ASK mode only, and requires no
setting.

CE-IR4
The CE-IR4 is used in the ASK mode or in the IRDA mode.
For FD communication, it must be set to the ASK mode.
When the power switch is turned on, the CE-IR4 is normally
set to the ASK mode. If communication cannot be made by
turning on the power switch, use the disk format procedure of
the ER-01FD/02FD to set to the ASK mode.

Setting the CE-IR4 to the ASK mode with the ER-01FD/02FD
Connect the CE-IR4 to the ER-01FD/02FD and perform the
following procedures.

6) Saving data

Turn on the power switch and insert a floppy disk which has
been formatted.

Start the SEND JOB on the ECR side as follows:

X: 0 = SSP

Data transmission is started and the green lamp on the ER-
02FD blinks.

7) Loading data

Turn on the power switch and insert the floppy disk which
stores the data.

Start the RECEIVE JOB on the ECR side as follows:

Press the  SEND  key on the FD unit.

Data transmission is started and the Green lamp on the ER-
02FD blinks.

Service reset the ECR.
