An age verification feature is included on the ERA421/411
to alert clerks to restricted items.
To ensure that servers take responsibility for verifying the
age of customer when selling restricted items (Alcohol,
tobacco or fireworks), an on-screen prompt will appear
when pre-set items are sold.
This is a useful feature for all hospitality or retail outlets
that sell alcohol and/or tobacco because it puts the
responsibility for verifying a customer’s age in the hands
of the servers.
For a full audit trail and for proof that a customer’s age has
been verified, a record is created on the journal roll and
electronic journal.
10 programmable Auto Keys are included with the
ERA421/411. These are a very useful time-saving feature
as routine key presses are automated.
The Auto Key feature supports for up to 50 key strokes
which means that even the more complicated operations
can be condensed to one key press.
The Auto Keys can be grouped together into the ‘Auto
Menu’ function but for even more flexibility, they can be
added to the fully customizable keyboard as a direct key.
For security purposes, a secret code can also be assigned to
each Auto Key.
