SYMPTOM It has been noted that service centres are having difficulty in copying firmware onto
CD’s for the Sharp DVD Recorders.
Follow the step by step instructions as detailed.
Note – This is based on using Nero 6.6.0.1 Ultra Edition. If you are using Nero, please
ensure your application is up to date.

Set-up Procedure
1. Open the “Nero SmartStart” application.
2. Within the Nero application, select the “Data” icon and from the slections below,

3. Select the “Nero” icon. If you leave the mouse over the icon, it will be detailed as
“Switch to Nero Burning ROM”
4. On the left-hand side of the application, select the “Creates a new compilation”
icon.

5. Select the “ISO” tab at the top and adjust the settings as shown in the picture
below.
6. Once the settings have been made, select the “New” button.
7. You can now revert back to Sharp DVD firmware update procedure for the model
that you are servicing, and copy the correct firmware across.
8. You can then burn the firmware onto a CD-ROM.
