This unit can overwrite the program inside via the dedicated cable, using the special software from PC. As this program and the
program of the drive ass’y need to be matched when replacing the drive ass’y, upgrade the firmware of this unit by following the
procedures below.
Procedures and the program version have to be changed according to the contents of service. Upgrade based on the service
information issued occasionally.
* The drive number is written on the label on each package.
Note: After version upgrade, the system must be reset, which deletes all user data in the memory. Be sure to get permission from
          the user in advance.

1. Conect the download tool (004 941 0034  [RUNTK0808GEZZ] : RS-232C Level Converter and QCNWK0001AWZZ:

connection adapter) to your PC's COM1 port.

 2.Execute "download.exe"

 3.Connect service tool to jack of set.
    Remove the screw for the connector cover on the back of the unit and connect the cable (QCNWK0001AWZZ) to the connector.

4.Input 1(Start)by a menu of Download.exe.

Preparation of the DVD set
(1) While pressing down the PLAY and VOLUME UP keys

simultaneously, press the POWER key to enter the
TEST MODE.

"TEST" appears.
(2) After selecting "DVD WRITE" using the VOLUME UP/

DOWN key, press the PLAY key or "6" key on the remote
control "DVD WRITE" appears.
* : it goes into the DVD ROM WRITE TEST, in more than

5-second for 30-second within, on the personal
computer side. If the next data transfer mode "the
operation of 5" isn't manipulated, because it isn't
written normally. Be careful.
